Shout out to the people who actually still read these letters! I hope y'all have had a great week! This week was good! Long but good!

Transfers: Tuesday was pretty much the best day ever. I got to the Hilliard Building and was reunited with all my Charlottle Central favs! Not to mention the trio was reunited for a minute and it was perfect. Me and Sister Arnold ran right to Sister Davis and had a giant group hug. It was a true Kodak moment. (':  I also picked up my new companion!! Her name is Sister Lowry! She is from Colorado and fun fact: we both have the same mission scripture for our plaques!

Oh Baby: This has absolutely nothing to do with missionary work, but still important. My "nephew" was born this week and I am loving all the pictures and can't not wait to meet Baby Evan! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sick Day: Thursday Sis Lowry woke up real sick. We rushed to the grocery store at 6:30am and got all the things she needed. We stayed at home pretty much all day. Which was a first for me! Thankfully she was feeling much better by night time and we were able to go teach Cynthia!

Interviews: I can never say enough how much I love the Alexanders! They are the sweetest people ever! This interview we talked a lot about chapter one of preach my gospel. I have loved getting to study my purpose as a missionary!

Progress: WE HAVE A BAPTISM DATE! ❤Training miracle! So his name is Jamie and he has been working with missionaries for a long time. Thursday he called and wanted us to meet with him to talk about baptism. We went over and he said it is something he really wants to do! So he is on date for September 24th! This will really help him change his life and we hope that he will continue to progress!

Spiritual Thought:
"As your understanding of the Atonement of Jesus Christ grows, your desire to share the gospel will increase. You will feel, as Lehi did, the "great … importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth" " - Preach My Gospel pg 2

I would invite you all to study the Atonement of Jesus Christ! I have learned on my mission that as I study the gospel, I really do want to share it! I want everyone to feel the joy it can bring into your life! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Well tomorrow I turn 5 months old! What?? Ok I know, not that big of deal, but next month will be half a year and that is crazy to me! These past 5 months have been incredible though! I am thankful to have been called to North Carolina! I love you all and hope to hear from you soon! Have a fantastic week! ๐Ÿ’•

Good news! We are safe and sound back in our apartment! Thankfully we only were at the hotel for a night. I felt like I was on a trip with my mom ha!

Social Media Tracting: This week we went though our area book and added A TON of people on facebook. Not all accepted our request. Out of the few that did, we got to message them and got some other lessons out of it! We are looking forward to the miracles that will come from this new way of proslyting! We also had our first skype lesson which was way fun! It saved us about 30 miles! As missionaries we only get a certain amount of miles for the month, so any time we can save them, we do!

Sister Marlow= Me In 50 years: We had dinner at a members home this week, and who knows how we got on the topic but Elvis came up. Sister Marlow is such a fangirl! She talked about how she loves him and told us about going to his concerts ( which only cost 30 bucks, if only that was still a thing). She said she cried when he died haha She even played some of his gospel music for us! So basically that will be me one day, feeding the missionaries and still fangirling over JB or TSwift๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‚

Southern Firsts: This week I tried 2 new things! Mom be proud of me๐Ÿ˜™ One was liver mush which was not as bad as it sounds. I don't know exactly what is all in it, besides pig liver. I would compare it to sausage. It wasn't awful, but I didn't have more. The other thing was fried okra. I liked it much better than liver mush, and had seconds ๐Ÿ˜œ

Scary, But Exciting : Okay Sister Arnold and Sister Davis, are you sitting down? Congrats! You're gonna be grandparents๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‰ President Alexander called Saturday and asked me to be a trainer!! Ahhh! I am totally excited but somewhat terrified. Mainly because I have to drive now hahah so prayers for that to go well will be much appreciated. Sister Ince is leaving and I am staying to train here in Wilkes! Tomorrow I will meet my new trainee and I am excited ๐Ÿ˜Š❤ It will be an adventure for sure! Speaking of trainers, one of mine goes home tomorrow ๐Ÿ™ I hope I am as great as a trainer as she was! I love Sister Arnold๐Ÿ’™
PS  if any of you who read this have trained before feel free to shoot me some tips!

Spiritual Thought:
Proverbs 3: 5-6
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Sometimes things happen in life and we have no idea why ( like president thinking I should train๐Ÿ˜‰) But when we put our trust in Heavenly Father, he will direct our path. He will be there every step of the way, helping us and pushing us along❤

Well that is it for this week! Since I am not moving my address is still

If anyone wants to give me a reason to check the mail๐Ÿ˜™๐Ÿ˜‰

God is so good and being a missionary is the greatest call!! Life is good! I love y'all and hope to hear from you soon! Have a blessed week๐Ÿ’•

I am convinced that Heavenly Father just wants to keep me entertained while I am here in WIlkes! This week was another one full of adventure!

Humbled Hearts- We met this lady named Joyce last week and this week we had another appointment with her! She said that she had been thinking a lot about our last lesson! She is seriously so great! Plus a member came with us which was perfect because she used to be a baptist, just like Joyce is now! It was helpful to have Sister Miller share her own testimony about The Restoration and see how that helped Joyce! She even asked if we could have a standing appointment every week (:

Zone Conference - I love zone conference<3 This time around we really focused on our purpose as missionaries. A quote I love is " As your understanding of Christ's atonement grows, your desire to share it grows" Which is so true! We had to prepare some role plays and of course me and Sister Ince forgot. And guess who was called up to role play for the whole audience? (which was 3 zones combined) Yes us. I was dying on the inside haha I guess that's what we get for being forgetful! But it went fine! We talked about how we live in a day that prophets have talked about for thousands of years! We again focused on Facebook and Skype. We are so excited to be using these tools to find and teach people! We were able to come up with so many great ideas that will really help hasten the work! The best part of all was The Alexanders Son and his wife and 4 boys came to visit! President jokingly asked one of his grandkids if they prepared a talk, they said no, but went up to the mic and bore his testimony <3 it was SO CUTE!

Exchanges- I got to go with Sister Marshall to Newton- Conover! It was way fun! We got to eat with a Mong family which was a first for me! Also we went to try this former who was way creepy. He was basically hitting on us the whole time and he said he would add us on Facebook if that meant he could go on a date with us. No thanks.

Sleepover! - So Wednesday water from the people above us leaked into our apartment. By Thursday it REAKED! We informed the mission office Friday and on Saturday we heard back from them. We were told to go stay with a member for a few nights. Sister Tharrington was out with us already and was kind enough to offer! So we have been living there for a few days. The apartment staff is airing out and drying the carpets, and spraying stuff in it so we don't get mold. The next few days we will be sleeping at a hotel! So like I said before, never a dull moment!

Spiritual Thought-
"May we ever choose the harder right instead of the easier wrong." - President Thomas S Monson

I love this quote from our prophet! It is so much easier to just choose the wrong simply because it is easier. You will be greatly blessed though, for choosing the harder right!

Well that is all the stories I got for now! Transfers happen next week so by Saturday we will see what our fate is! I hope everyone enjoys the last bit of their summer! Hope to hear from you soon! <3

So basically God is too good and this week was FULL of miracles! I am here to say that Heavenly Father really does hear our prayers and although the answers don't always come when we want them to, they still come! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Zone Activity- Last week we got together as a zone and went to Bo's which is like a family fun center. There was bowling, laser tag, mini golf, and an arcade! It was a blast! The weirdest part of it all though was having the music playing because as a missionary we don't listen to "worldly" music so that was strange to be around. Also a song from season 1 of Hannah Montana came on the radio?? Of course I still knew every word, I was just so confused by it! But anyway my zone is pretty sweet! E. Norconk who I served with in Concord is in my new zone! It was nice to see a familiar face! Also an Elder in my district (E. Jackson) had my cousin Todd as a seminary teacher/ stake president! Small world right?

Oregon or NC?- No joke I almost staring thinking that we moved to Oregon this week because of the weather. It rained all week and poured most of the time! It was nice because it wasn't super hot but not so nice when you are drenched! It's okay though because the rain brought miracles!

13- As missionaries we have weekly goals and one of those is for new investigators. The standard of excellence is 3 per week. This week we had 13. That goes over the number for the whole month!!! Like what?! We are oh so blessed! Let me tell you about them!
Joyce- Former we went to find, she let us right in (to get us out of the rain) and we taught the plan of salvation! She was the sweetest lady ever and said we could come back!
Madison & Raquel & Austin - We were walking down the street and saw these two girls outside their home, so we started talking to them. We set up a return appointment and when we went back one of them was sleeping but the other one had her boyfriend at home and we were able to teach them! They even said that they would get baptized if they knew these things to be true!
Spanish Men- We went to an appointment that bailed, we had a member with us (an RM who speaks spanish) and he started teaching these two men! They were interested too!
Albany - Went to contact a former and she didn't live there anymore,  but this lady did! We got to teach her and set up a return appointment!
Rene- Former investigator who we went to see, she said she couldn't remember what the missionaries taught her and said we could come back!
Nena- Former investigator, who at first seemed like she wasn't't interested. She invited us in and we got to know her. She has a family member who was baptized! She is a sweet lady who could really use the gospel to brighten her life up! She wants her husband to meet with us as well!
Richardson's-  This is a former family! We were really praying they would be interested still so we went to see them. The mom pulled in right as we showed up! She let us right in and we got to know what she knew about the church. We set up a return appointment, which sadly didn't work out. But it reminded me of a quote I heard from our zone leader " A miracle is still a miracle even if it doesn't't result in someone progressing"
Ginger- This lady was sitting outside and we got to talk with her and set something up with her for next week!
Chris- We were going to find a former and I went to knock on the door, but I guess I knocked on the wrong one oops! But it's ok because we met Chris and he was so full of joy! We got to teach him the restoration and sadly he was just in town to visit, but we got his facebook info so we can stay in touch!
Tatiana- We were again looking for a former and this lady opened the door and let us in! She was so sweet and we got to teach her as well and set a return apointment!
Our teaching pool as been pretty dry lately so we pray that we will continue to see many miracles here in Wilkesboro and find people who are searching for the gospel to bless their lives!

Hastening The Work- Zone Meeting was this week! The focus was on Facebook. Our mission is one of the few who use social media to spread the gospel. They are putting a big push on it now! It is easier to connect with people online these days, and easier to stay in contact. We will be able to use social media for good! In a world where there is so much negativity I am happy to shine some light! Members here or back at home or in other areas of our mission will be able to be involved and share their testimonies to help the investigators. I am looking forward to all the miracles we will see by using the tools we are given to share goodness! If you haven't already feel free to add me! Sister-Jennifer Jacobsmeyer

Spiritual Thought:
John 8:7
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

One of my favorite scripture stories! I love how Christ points out that no one is perfect so we should not be judging others for their imperfections!

Ok so sorry I wrote too much! But this week was so great and I pray next week is just as good! The work is hastening in North Wilkesboro! I love you all and am thankful to know such good people! Have a blessed week! ๐Ÿ˜˜
