Hey y'all! Fun fact today is the hottest day of the year so far in this town. Thankfully it is Pday! Anyway things are getting better here! 😊

Day with the Garlicks-  My favorite senior couple drove up to spend Tuesday with us! I seriously LOVE them! I am so sad because I only have about a month left with them. Anyway they went out with us which was a blessing! We were able to have 2 other lessons with them! They are fabulous missionaries!

Trials Bring Blessings- Wednesday we were out finding like we always are and we tried pretty much every house on the street. We asked this man if he knew any of his neighbors who could need a message about Jesus Christ. He said " I don't think any of them would be interested"  So we left his house and decided to try one more! Then we met James. He has met with missionaries before and was really open to meeting with them again. We have taught him 3 times this week! AND he has a baptism date! Good things happen to those who wait right?

Exchanges- I got to go to Newton-Conover with Sister Johnson! She is the best! I love her and I hardly know her! We were able to teach a few lessons and do some service! After service we went to Cook Out and then got ice cream, so you can say it was a pretty great exchange!

Come, Come Ye Saints- Saturday we had a ward party to celebrate pioneer day! We made out own butter which was fun! I am so thankful for the faithful pioneers. They went through so many hardships with such grace. I am thankful for the sacrifices they made and all the blessings that I enjoy because of their dedication to their faith.

Spiritual Thought -
"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters—my dear friends—please, first doubt your doubts before you doubt your faith. We must never allow doubt to hold us prisoner and keep us from the divine love, peace, and gifts that come through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  - Dieter F Uchdorf "

I love this quote! It is so easy to doubt everything. But doubting doesn't bring happiness. Sometimes the journey is hard, but it is important to have faith. Everything will work out the way it's supposed to! ❤

This week went much better than last. I am finally adjusting to a new area! I have such a strong testimony of the power of prayer. It brings miracles. I am thankful to be serving a mission. It is not an easy task most days,  but it is all worth it!😊

Thank you all for your constant support! I am pretty blessed to have such great people in my corner! I hope y'all have a blessed week! Hope to hear from you soon! 😘

Sending Love,
Sister Jacobsmeyer

WHAT A WEEK! Seriously longest week of my whole life.

Monday was the best day ever. Me and my companions went to the mall
and got build a bears because why not? Then we said our goodbyes to
all the beautiful people of Concord! They hold such a special place in
my heart. I miss them everyday.

Tuesday was transfers. I packed everything up and Sister Watson drove
us to Charlotte! I met Sister Ince and we had to wait for the Boone
Sisters to finish their meeting. Then we hit the road for 2 hours! I
was happy to be out of the car!

I am in Wilkes now (which btw on my address I gave I put Dr twice so
ignore the second dr ) and it is not Concord. I will just leave it at
that. My companion is Sister Ince who is from Canada! So that is fun!
She has 2 transfers left. I am actually using her I-pad right now
because my tablet email is broke. So if any of you computer smart
people know how to fix it! I would love to know! It says "sync is
currently experiencing problems" and it did that like 2 weeks ago and
it will randomly work. It worked for about 2 minutes this morning and
then nada. I have tried everything!!

Anyway nothing too exciting has happened this past week. I am trying
to adjust to the new area. The ward members are so sweet and kind tho!
I already love them! I actually spoke in church yesterday! What a nice
welcome huh? (: We don't really have a big teaching pool here which
is a big change for me. So hopefully that changes soon! We do a lot of
knocking!

We had district meeting this week and Sister Miller (my MTC comp) is
in my district!! That makes me way happy!

Since this iPad doesn't have my pics on it, you don't get any for now!
I really hope my tablet starts working soon!

Sorry this email isn't too exciting, I feel bad taking Sister Ince's
iPad time! Ahh but I am thankful for the love and support you all give
me! I hope to hear from you soon! Have a blessed week!

Sister Jacobsmeyer
WHAT A WEEK! I think I have felt every emotion possible this week. So
bless my heart right? So stay tuned to the end because I got some
news!
Aloha Y'all- Thursday night a family from Hawaii came and did a really
fun show! They did a tour of the islands and did different dances. I
didn't take pictures, but maybe someday I will get some from someone
and send them. They ended the night doing a fire dance! It was so
neat! George, Kathy, Juan and his kids, and Grace came! They all loved
it! At the end of the families performance they came together and sang
Love At Home in Hawaiian and then invited us all to sing the second
verse with them. I got a little weepy. Shocker right?
Recipe for Success- We had zone meeting this Friday. Yours truly gave
a training and guess who showed up? Oh yeah President Alexander. I was
a little nervous but it went fine! Everyone told me it was great so
that's a plus. It was on sincere prayers. Since our meeting was
cooking themed I compared praying to juicing. When you juice something
you have to squeeze all the juice out. When you pray you need to
squeeze out the desires of your heart. God helps those who help
themselves. There is a big difference between saying the same things
everyday and really having sincere prayers.
Last Friday Night- So we show up to George and Kathy's and the table
was set. They made us dinner! It was SO YUMMY! Plus she had made
homemade peco de gallo (honestly dont know how to spell in spanish
sorry). If you know me , you know that I have much love for peco. So
obviously I was in heaven. I just love George and Kathy so much! Also
that night a giant crazy storm happened. The power went out in the
whole town (but not our apartment bc hashtag blessed) for like 3
hours. Trees were blown down and traffic lights were broke. It was
pyscho.
Baptized- What a weekend for baptism! First my Daddio was able to get
baptized yesterday. It has been a long road and I am very sad I was
not there, but I am so happy for him. Second, MY FIRST BAPTISM!! The
Johnson kids got baptized Saturday! They were so happy! It was such a
special day!
Brb Crying- So transfer news came Saturday night. It was like knowing
if you were making it to the next round on American Idol. I was
nervous. So then the words "be at the hilliard building at.." came out
and I am leaving. My heart is so so broken. Me and my companions had a
good crying session. Every since my emotions have been everywhere.
Stressed, sad, mad, scared, excited. I legit felt like I was leaving
on my mission all over again. Concord will forever have my heart. I
LOVE the people here. I am so sad I have to leave them. But the Lord
needs me in.... North Wilkesboro with Sister Ince. The Lord also needs
Sis Arnold in Lewisville. So the golden trio is breaking up. I am so
thankful that Concord was my first area. AND GET THIS! Both my
companions second area was Wilkes AND the first day I got here they
said I would serve there! Crazy!
Scripture:
D&C 100:4
Therefore, I, the Lord, have suffered you to come unto this place; for
thus it was expedient in me for the salvation of souls.
I really needed this. I was SO mad when transfer calls came. Why would
Heavenly Father take me away when so many great things were happening?
I have now realized someone needs me in my new area and I need to be
happy with it.
Well y'all that's about it. Today is my last day in Concord. It is
Sister Davis's birthday and we are at the mall. We built matching
bears at build a bear, and went crazy at bath and body works. To top
it off we got cold stone! I even got my family Christmas gifts ha!
Thank you for all your love, letters, and support! Talk to you next week!
Sending Love,
Sister Jacobsmeyer

Land of the Free Home of the Brave

Happy 4th of July!!🎉❤💙 It's a humid/foggy/ rainy day here in North Carolina! Sure beats the 110 degree weather back home ðŸ˜‰

This week went by in like two seconds. I'm still not over how fast time goes by. I am offically 3 months old tho! Crazy! Let me tell you about my week!

Hermana Jacobsmeyer? - This week started with exchanges with the Spanish Sisters! Hermana Valentine came to Concord! She helped a lot with translating, we work with a handful of hispanics. So I was pretty thankful to have someone who could speak it! On Saturday we went to a Spanish Branch baptism. The whole thing was naturally in Spanish. I think I understood 3 words. We also sang like 5 songs in spanish. Then to top it off we went to Spanish sunday school yesterday with some of our investigators. So basically I need to work on my espanol.

5 Buck Miracle- So this week we were in need of a bathroom and so we stopped at a gas station and we got out and there was a 5 dollar bill on the ground! Just then Sis Johnson said she was having car problems and she would be home late for the lesson and she also  needed to get her kids fed. So we decided to take the 5 dollars and we got them pizza! It was a tender mercy and perfect timing! ❤

Tevis Update- So get this. Tevis read the Book of Mormon, not once, but TWICE! He also did some historical research and he says it really is true because he can trace it back to the ancient americans! So he knows it's true so we invited him to baptism! He said he would pray about it, stay tuned.

Fasting Miracle- So FYI fasting works. I was sitting in church and I turned around to check for investigators and I saw George....AND KATHY! WHAT?! I was in shock. Kathy works on Sundays, this couldn't be real! But it was and she didn't tell us because she wanted to surprise us. Man I just love her. Plus at our lesson Friday George played Selena Gomez on his phone so naturally he is my favorite ha!😉

Spiritual Thought:
So I have been studying Charity and Love everyday for a few weeks and I came across this quote, "Every person you meet is a VIP to our Heavenly Father." I loved it because it's so true! Everyone is so special and important so we should treat them like the VIP's they are! I'll sneak in another quoute, "Let us commit to become his hands, that others through us may feel his loving embrace." So I challenge you all this week to find the time to reach out to someone. Write/ text an old friend or family memeber. Smile at someone! Help in whatever way you can to show others how much they are loved! ❤

Well I think that is all the stories I have for you this week! I am thankful for the gospel in my life. It has endless blessings. I am thankful to live in a country where I am free to worship the way I want to. I am thankful for all those men and women who have fought for those freedoms!
I love you all! Hope to hear from you soon!

Sending Love,
Sister Jacobsmeyer
