Shout out to the 2 people who asked if I was okay bc of the shootings in Charlotte πŸ˜‚πŸ˜˜ But really thank you for your concern! I am very glad I am far away from the riots and sadness going on. Although I do have a Dr Apt this weekend in the heart of Charlotte so #pray4me

Speaking of prayer, I was informed this morning that my sweet grandpa Cal is having some sort heart operation this afternoon so please say a little prayer for him. ❤

Anyway this week went by incredibly fast! It was a real great week too (mainly bc we have been nomstop jamming to saturdays warrior which btw Sis H's uncles are Jimmy and Wally in the old movie!)

We are finally building up our teaching pool! We got a referral last week who is now a progressing investigator! His name  is Tyrone! We taught him twice this week! He really loved the lessons and has a big goal to make it back to the celestial kingdom😊 We also were able to have a few other lessons with people we have come in contact with! It is so amazing to see how much this area has progressed in the short 3 weeks I have been here! God is good!

A neat experience happened this week at service!  We volunteer at The Woman's Enrichment Center which is a place for expecting mothers to go get help and other stuff. Anyway we were in the clothing room and talking to another volunteer named Jennifer. So on facebook I am doing a weekly Q& A about missionary work/ the church in general so I asked Jennifer if she had any questions. She had a lot! She asked "who founded the Book of Mormon?" So we were able to answer that and even gave her one! The next day she said she started reading it! It was a little miracle in the week❤ Also if any of y'all have any questions about what missionaries do/ the church in general feel free to send them to me!

Don't worry I saved the best for last! The General Woman's Broadcast was on Saturday! It is a special meeting where the woman leaders of the church get to speak to us! The stake made a night out of it! Soup, Salad, and Service! We had dinner and then made spa kits for refuges! It was way fun! Plus I got to see all the Sisters in the zone! Two of them were my past companions! 😊 Then the broadcast started and bonus Sister Alexander sat with us! It was wonderful and a big spiritual boost. I invite you all to go find it on lds.org! ❤

Spiritual Thought:
I just really loved Sister Oscarsons talk on Saturday. She talked about how we really are in the last days but we can have the faith to make it through anything. We need to have a firm testimony, which is sometimes hard to do when all the pressures of the world surround you. But it is possible!

Well I am currently eating McDonald's for the first time in 6 months so life cant be any better amiright?! I am seriously so pumped for General Conference this weekend! I hope you all get the chance to watch it wherever you might be!

I love y'all and I am beyond blessed to have the support that I do! Have an amazing last week of September! 😊

Hey y'all! Another week flew by and it was a real good one!

Watching Walk the Line 1000 times finally paid off. We have a recent convert named Alan and he loves Johnny Cash so basically we were able to relate the gospel to Johnny Cash and that was fun. Also he really loves the Navy and likes to have conversations about it. But I know like zip about the Navy, so if anyone wants to educate me feel free.

We had interviews this week and this is my 3rd time being interviewed this transfer hahah so President was like "you're probably real sick of seeing me" Which is not even close to true. I have such a deep love and respect for the Alexanders! I honestly have no clue what I will do one day without them. Which reminds me, the Garlicks went home last week and I will probably never be over it.

We also had exchanges this week! Sister Rose (who knows my sis from her time at the MTC) came here with Sis H and I! We had a grand time, full of lots of awkard moments, and miracles! We even came home to find a baby lizard on our kitchen floor (,:

During the week we were out knocking doors and this real kind man let us teach him and then asked if we could pray together <3 He even gave us Gatorade! Then his neighbor was so sweet! We showed her the Because of HIm video and she said that we brought a great spirit to her home! She then said she had something for us. She brought out these rocks that she was giving in her Sunday school class. One says "worrier" and one says "prayer warrior" She told us to get rid of our worries and become warriors. It was pretty cute!

I finally got to attend the branch! They are all so kind! Also a family in the branch lived in Ely and know Sister Meeks from my home ward! I love small connections like that!!

Ok I saved the best for last.... GEORGE & KATHY ARE ON DATE!!! YAYAYAYA!πŸ˜€❤ They were the couple we taught in Concord and I am soooooo excited for them! Hopefully things all work out and I can go!

Spiritual Thought:
Alma 37:37
Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.

I have learned SO much about prayer on my mission. My favorite part of the day is when I get to say my prayer right before bed! Heavenly Father wants to hear from us! It's kinda like when you dont talk to your parents for a while and they just really wanna hear from you and how you are doing. I love just laying it all out at the end of the day. I know that prayer works. We have a loving Heavenly Father who is there to help us, we just have to ask!

Well that is about it for this week! Even though I really miss taking naps, being a missionary is great. You learn so much and you see so much. I am so thankful for this oppertunity! I love you and hope to hear from you soon! Have a blessed week! πŸ’•

So just to get the big news out of the way I AM LEAVING WILKES! All caps because so surprised. This morning and last night have consisted of packing, cleaning, packing, and more packing. I miss my mom hahah (I H8 packing) The car is full and the house is empty. I 'm telling you Heavenly Father wanted to keep me entertained here, and he definitely did.πŸ˜‚

We are getting ET'd (emergency transfered) for health reasons. Not mine so don't worry. It is all so bittersweet. I had a hard time adjusting here. I came from " the disneyland of the mission" as President called it in interviews. I have grown to love the people here and even this town. The ward is full of beautiful, sweet souls who I will oh so dearly miss.

This past week we were able to help Jamie progress and he even came to church! Yay! He will have missionaries still work with him! But for the rest of the transfer the area is closed. I will be on my way to .... Lancaster, SC. Which I am pumped for because Sis Arnold served there so basically following her footsteps πŸ˜‰and because it is South Carolina! A new state! I will be back in a trio! And finishing another sisters training!

So I know you're all dying to send me mail. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜™Well if you insist, my new address is
439 Colonial Ave Apt D Lancaster SC
29720-185

I am sad I didn't really get to say my goodbyes, but I know I will always have this town to come back to. I am thankful for the growth I have had while being here. I truly have changed and learned so much! I am excited for what South Carolina has to offer!😊

Thanks for all your support! Sure do love y'all! πŸ’•
