Is it really already Monday?! Time moves too fast! PS I hit my 2 months in Concord mark on Saturday! Ahhh! 😊 Anyway it has been a great week! Not to mention the weather has been pretty nice too! #blessed
So this week...

It's Bo Time! - Monday night we went to visit a lady in the ward and she looked at us and asked if we were hungry. Ironically we were all just compalining about being hungry. We were kinda awkward about it haha and so she told us to get in the car! We went to Bojangles. Bojangles is like the Taco Bell of the south. Cheap, greasy, and makes you sick after you eat it. I have never eaten it because my sweet companions want to help me. So it was my first time! I had some chicken buscuit and it was decent. Was I sick all night? Yes. I also tried cheerwine! Which I also didn't like. It is basically like cherry cough suryp mixed with Dr Pepper. But now I can say I have had both Bojangles and Cheerwine!

"Oh I'll Be There"- So we taught the Johnson kids who I ADORE! Seriously the Johnsons are probably my favorite family ever. Anyway we taught the kids about the Plan of Salvation and they were in heaven (no pun intended)! We invited them to be baptized and of course they said yes! One of the kids said "Oh I'll Be There" Did I mention I love them?!😇😊

Harrisburg Wannabe- Another first for me! I actually left my area for exchanges! Me and Sis Arnold went to Harrisburg and Sis Trainor came here! We had a fun time with Sis Sandy! Also best story ever, you ready for it? So remember my Pacer friend Carl? Well we went to try him again. He wasn't home but I left a note for him to contact the sisters when he got back and signed it " your pacemaker pal, Sister Jacobsmeyer." Yesterday after church we got a text that said both him and his wife attended church yesterday! The power of the pacer❤

Strange People- Okay I really wish y'all could be with me for a day. We see and talk to some intresting folks! One man we met this week literally fit the discription of the telestial kingdom. He said he has too much fun sinning and has no desire to change. One man was basically a walking bible and asked me if I really beleived that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Darn right I do! I have never had my faith questioned in that way so it was also a first for me. Speaking of that one of investigators told a neat story this week. She said that at work some lady said she used to be mormon and it is all wrong and to not listen to the missionaries. Our investigator stood up for us and the church and basically shared her testimony (,:

True Greatness- Yesterday our Relief Socity lesson was on true greatness! First I would like to state that Taylor Swift was mentioned as a wordly role model in the lesson, so amen to that! 😉😊 Anyway I was thinking about what people I think are truly great and I thought of every young womens leader I have ever had, any primary teacher, sunday school teacher, basically I thought of my OV2 Ladies. They are some of the greatest examples I know. That of course includes my mom. Because duh she is TRULY great! So thank you to all those reading this that have been example to me in my life! I hope you know that you are doing a great job! ❤😊

Facebook- Ok so first wow thanks for all the people who wanna be my friend. Second, rule time. We can be buddies but I can't see your posts 😕 I also can't be tagged in things, or at least have them show on my wall. So if you feel the need to tag me, I have to hide it on my wall. I will be posting sometime today though so that's new and exciting! Another first!

Spiritual Thought:
So basically you all need to go read Tomorrow the Lord Will Do Wonders Among You By Elder Jeffrey R. Holland April 2016 General Conference. It is the best. But I want to share a scripture from it!

D&C 11:8
Verily, verily, I say unto you, even as you desire of me so it shall be done unto you; and, if you desire, you shall be the means of doing much good in this generation.

And Elder Holland said it best when he shared, "I love that doctrine! It says again and again that we are going to be blessed for our desire to do good, even as we actually strive to be so. And it reminds us that to qualify for those blessings, we must make certain we do not deny them to others: we are to deal justly, never unjustly, never unfairly; we are to walk humbly, never arrogantly, never pridefully; we are to judge righteously, never self-righteously, never unrighteously."

Did I mention being a missionary is great? Also all of you are great! Thanks for your prayers, support, letters, and love! Have a blessed week!❤

Hey Y'all! Hope you had an amazing week! This week was pretty great for us here in Concord! It's amazing how much I am learning and growing everyday!

K-Town Spilts- So my companions had another sister training meeting that I don't have to go to, so I  went with the Kannapolis sisters! I love them, they are so fun! Plus they took me to Stake N' Shake which was amazing! We also went back into Concord and I kinda took over the area for the day. We taught our investigator, Juan! It went really great!

Splits with a side of sleepover- So again my comps had another meeting that I didn't need to be at! So the great Sis Watson went and taught with me! So this time I really did have to take over the area! It was a little scary, but not really. I love Sis Watson! She's the best, plus she has a heart kiddo so that makes her extra great! We were able to visit with a less active in the ward which was nice! Then once I was back with my companions we spent the night with the Harrisburg sisters! There was a new sister! Sister Trainor! She's so great! Also she said someone told her to watch out for me?? Haha she couldn't remember who it was, but she is from So Cal, so if any one of you know her let me know!

Golden Meeting- Friday we had Zone Meeting! It had a golden theme to go with our task of finding golden investigators! All the trainings from that day were so great! Plus get this... I saw my childhood bff, Zadi! So she is dating the mission nurses son, and they were visiting this week! It gets crazier because Sis Garlick (mission nurse) said they weren't even planning on going to the mission office that day. And they just happened to come in during our break! Obviously meant to be! I haven't seen her in over two years so it was nice to be able to see her even just for a second!

Miracles for days- Friday was a day of miracles! So our apointment with a family fell through, but we all know when one door cloeses another one opens. That was just the case! Before we left the families house we felt prompted to leave a note. Then we were driving down this street and this boy was outside and he looked just like one of our investigators we haven't seen for a few weeks. So naturally we went back and it was him! We were able to be on the right street and at the exact right time! So never ignore a prompting! Then we went to visit a family we hadn't seen for a few weeks as well due to their scheduale and their phone broke so it was hard to get in contact with them. Anyways we knocked and it took a minute but they answered!! And they had their 3 other kids and niece home for the summer! That is exactly what we prayed for! We got to teach the kids and they will most likely be baptized next month!

Last night we went to a Ward Counsil training which was amazing! Seriously every member can be a missionary! Volunteer to go out with your missionaries!! They will love you and it will help a ton! Also referrals are the best just saying.

Okay this is more geared to my mom but the man who was Ralph in the Sound of Music IS IN MY WARD! I just thought I'd share for any of you musical fans out there.

Lastly next week I will offically be on Facebook! Feel free to add me at " Sister-Jennifer Jacobsmeyer"

Scripture-
Luke 6: 27-28
27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

This has always been one of my favorites! Being nice to those who are rude to you  IS SO HARD sometimes! But I think we can all try a little harder to be kinder to those who maybe aren't so kind to us.

Okay I think that should be good for this week. Congrats if you have read even this far. I know that our loving Heavenly Father listens to us and answers our prayers. I know that he is with us 100% of the time and is always willing to help us if we ask! God is good all day everyday! Love y'all so much! Hope to hear from you soon! Have a blessed week!

Hello friends and family who still actually read this! This week was SO much better than last week. So let me tell you a little bit about it!

1) Interviews. So on Thursday we went and had our interviews with President and Sister Alexander! These are my favorite thing about a new transfer! I love the Alexanders and am blessed to have them as the leaders of the mission.
2) Exchanges. We started the weekend off with exchanges! Sis Nansel came and Sis Davis left. We had a great time together!
3) Amazing Grace. So Grace is one of our investigators and we literally saw her 4 days in a row, which I am not complaining about. Two of those days were lessons, one was at a eagle scout court of honor, and lastly a graduation party.( which btw felt so weird to be at, didn't I just graduate?!)  ALSO her and her boyfriend Tanner WERE IN PAPER TOWNS! They filmed the movie at their high school which I often pass. OH and another girl in our ward was an extra in the  Hunger Games which was partially filmed behind the Wal-Mart we go to every week. It's fine, no biggie.
5) Be Thou Humble. So saturday was not my day. It was way hot and the sun took away my energy and I was just throwing a pity party basically. Then we went and taught the Lopez family. They basically taught us. They really wanna get baptized and they have such great faith!! Plus they want to invite all these people over to be taught. They are so great! Anyway after that I was in a much better state of mind. We were also fasting as a mission and after the Lopez family, we met another prepared man. So many miracles occur and I am so thankful for those humbing moments.

Scripture: I totally forgot about this last week oops!

Alma 36:27
"And I have been supported under trials and troubles of every kind, yea, and in all manner of afflictions; yea, God has delivered me from prison, and from bonds, and from death; yea, and I do put my trust in him, and he will still deliver me."

This scripture is so great. I can't even count how many trials me and my family have had over the years. In every single one of them though we have been fully supported by our loving Heavenly Father. If we have that faith and trust, he will in fact deliver us! Even when it's hot and humind outside and you just don't think you can take one more step, he is there. He always is. How great is that?!

Anyway that is really all I can think of to share with you. Missionary life is the best life! I again am thankful for those who email me and send me notes, y'all are the best! Have a blessed week <3

Sending Love,
Sister Jacobsmeyer
