Today is my exact two month mark! Somedays it feels like I just got here and some days feel like I have already been here a year and a half. But that's ok I LOVE my mission and I LOVE being a missionary ❤So this week was pretty slow but I'll share a few things!

1) Exchanges! Sister Nunez came to our area and Sister Arnold went to Hilliard. It was so great! I love Sister Nunez! I learned so much from her! I was really bummed when we had to exchange back.
2) Sister Call In. On Thursday morning we had a sisters call in with ALL the sisters in the mission and Sister Alexander. The sisters going home this week shared their testimonies and reflected on their missions. It was so uplifting! It made me glad I still have a while to learn and grow as a missionary! (:
3) I Found a Heart Buddy. We had dinner with a family in the ward and their baby had heart surgery too! We have matching scars haha. So we talked about heart stuff and that was fun.
4) Praying For My Feet. At service this week I mentioned that my feet were cherry red and I had no idea why. (I'm assuming it's due to bad circulation but they always are bright red when I am in the heat. So if any of you know why that would happen feel free to tell me.) Anyway the leader of the place we serve at heard me and came over and started asking questions and getting really concerned. Then he started praying! To be honest I was holding in laughter. But it was kind of him to be so concerned!
5) Claim To Fame. So fun fact: my ward mission leader is the son of the candy bomber guy from Meet the Mormons! And another family in the ward was asked to be in the movie but they had something come up.

Anyway this week was not too exciting. Transfers are today and we are staying put. Some leadership is changing so that will be exciting to meet new people! Our Pday is gonna be pretty chill too. I may or may not be chopping off all my hair, stay tuned 😉

Hello again! I have officially been in Concord for a month as of the 18th! I still can't believe how fast the time goes! I am loving it here though! Next week marks a whole transfer (6 weeks) here! Some missionaries will be going home, coming in, and going to different areas. But I know I will be staying safe and sound in Concord! This was a bipolar weather week! One day or minute it was pouring, then it was bright and sunny! But I am still so thankful it isn't super hot and humid yet! Anyway let me tell ya about the week!

1) Exchanges. This week was crazy and we had back to back exchanges! That means one sister traded with another basically. So on Tuesday we exchanged witht the spanish sisters! Sis Sanchez came with me and Sis Arnold! It was helpful to have someone fluent in spansh since a lot of the people we meet are hispanic. Then the next day after our district meeting, Sis Vanlueven came with us! She was one of the sistets that I came out with! It was nice to get to know her better!
2) District Meeting. So every week we have a meeting with our district and this weeks was special! During the last like 10 minutes a man came into the church and we thought it was the UPS man again. It was Brandon, and he lives across from the church. He just wanted to learn more and thought he would just walk over to the church. So we were able to teach him a little and he had such great faith! He said he could feel something special in the room! So the elders are going to start meeting with him! It fit perfectly with our scheduale. We were supposed to be doing some roleplays and if you ask me that was the best roleplay to have!😊
3) Even Doctors need the gospel! This weekend I went to my new heart doctor (It made me REALLY miss CHF. They are the best.❤) and of course everyone who came in the room asked about my mission! My heart doc said he has seen missionaries before in Chile, where he is from! I had to get my blood drawn (don't worry mom I was brave and didn't even flinch) and the lab lady was so sweet! She asked about our church and Sis Garlick gave her a pass along card!
4) Sunday Miracle. So last Sunday after our apointment with Grace, we went to try an old investigator. They weren't home so we decided to try a few doors in the area. Our car was parked in front of a home and I suggested that we just go to that one since we parked in front of it. They opened the door and at first seemed totally unintrested and then they let us in! We shared the Because of Him video and the wife was crying the whole time. Then we got into a good discussion on Christ and their faith. They were great! So anyway this weekend we saw them again. This time they invited their son over! We again had such a great lesson and they had the best questions. THEY ARE SO PREPARED! It's crazy. Also there was a crazy storm going on and the moment Sis Davis started sharing the account of the first vision, it stopped. It was pretty neat. They also gave us ice cream and asked if we wanted to stay for pizza, so basically they are the best. AND they accepted a baptism date! The husband and son came to church yesterday, but the wife had to work sadly. They are so great and ahh I just love them!❤😊

Scripture: Therefore, cheer up your hearts, and remember that ye are free to act for yourselves—to choose the way of everlasting death or the way of eternal life.
- 2 Nephi 10:23
I am so thankful for a loving Heavenly Father who gave us agency! We are free to act for oursleves! Sometimes it's hard to choose the right choice, but the reward is always worth it!

This week has gone by SO FAST! It's crazy! It has been a good, but a hard week. So let me tell you all about it!

1) Tuesday we had a meeting with all the new missionaries and our trainors! I was so happy because I got to be with the 9 sisters I came out here with! I miss them all so much so it was a joyful reunion! ❤
2) Wednesday was just not a good day. EVERY apointment we had cancelled and EVERY house we knocked on no one answered. We felt prompted to visit the Noyola family who we met the first week I was here. They haven't met with us for a few weeks so we drove over to their home. It took like 10 minutes for them to answer their door, but they did! It was great! We were able to teach them and they said they missed us! It made up for the not so great day we had.
3) On Thursday my other companions had a meeting that I didn't need to be at so I went with some other sisters! We were out walking in a neighborhood and there was a man outside unloading his car. We offered to help and then continued talking to him. He had an amazing life story and such a strong testimony. But the real kicker is HE HAS A PACEMAKER! Ha! It literally made my night. We talked about our medical stories and we even have matching Medic Alert braclets! I am so sad I won't see him again! Oh we also spent the night with those sisters since we had a meeting the next morning in their town!
4) Last night we were again walking around finding people and I picked the house to go to and it was defiantly meant to be! They were so nice and let us in! We showed a video about Christ and the lady was in tears! They both had great faith and we introduced the Book of Mormon and set a return apointment! Also the man looked at me and said he has seen me before. I kinda freaked out in my head and thought of the story I shared in my farwell talk! Maybe this is the "friend" I was meant to find 😊
5) The worst for last right? So we have been meeting with Esonya for weeks and she had a baptism date and was good to go.... then we read the interview questions. She isn't ready to fully switch over to just coming to our church. She really likes hers and her family is there too. So we were obviously heart broken after that. The ASL sisters in Salt Lake are still gonna work with her, but we won't be seeing her that often anymore. So hopefully one day she will want to be baptized and fully commit, but for now she isn't ready sadly.

Scripture:  Matthew 19:26
" But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."
I love this because hello it is so true! All things are possibe with God!  He loves us so much and is there to help us!

Hello again! This week went by so fast! It started out great last pday, mainly because JB's new album was playing in the mall (; Tender mercy amiright?!

This week was so crazy busy so I will try and not bore you with too many details!

1) I finally made it to UNC! I went with the Hilliard sisters for a few hours while my companions (who are sister training leaders) had meetings. It was so fun to be in a new place and get to know other sisters! I was with Sister Nunez and Sister Worthington! We also had exchages this week! So Sis Davis traded with Sis Sandy! We had a fun time getting to know her!

2) Zone Conference! My first zone conference was this week! It was incredible! It was all about repentence! And guess what? Repentence isn't a scary thing! It is a joyful thing! We can all improve and change everyday! I learned so much from it! I also met 2 missionaries that my sister taught in the MTC. One of them was the "best role play" at the meeting, so she must have trained him right (:

3) Sis Arnold had to go to the bathroom while we were out tracting , so she put in the nearest gas station in the gps. The surprise was that it lead us to an apartment complex, not a gas station! So obviously the Lord needed us there! Ha! It was pretty funny! We were able to talk to two different people!

4) Last but not least MOTHERS DAY! Guys I don't know if you knew this but I pretty much have the coolest mom out there. Seriously, Mom you rock <3 I could write a novel. Anyone who knows my mom knows how amazing she is. She is such a Christlike example! I can't wait to be just like her one day. Skyping with her and Amanda was great! Even though I cried (read:sobbed) 80% of the time haha. I also got to skype my daddio! That was just as great and I only cried a little.

5) The work is going great! We have a new investigator named Grace who is so cute and is pretty much a clone of my brother's girlfriend Wendy, but with brown hair. So obviously I love her! Esonya is still getting baptized the 21st!

Scripture of the week: D&C 121: 7-8
"7 My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment;
8 And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes."
This is currently my favorite! Trials will come and go, but they will only be but a small moment! We just need to endure them well and we will be blessed! <3

I love you all so much! I am thankful for all your love and support! Your emails always make my day! Have a fabulous week! <3

First off Saturday was my ONE MONTH MARK!! Except I feel like I have been here a year. Don't get me wrong it is great, just sometimes time goes so slow.

Anyway it has been a great week! I am not sick, I am not homesick, AND WE GOT WIFI! So obviously I have everything I need in life (: And to top it off on Sunday I get to Skype my mom/sister and my dad!

The work is good, Esonya came to church yesterday and is still planning to be baptized this month! I love my ward here too! The people are so great!!

Anyway let's get into the fun stuff, I actually have something to share this time around!

1) This past week, pre wifi, we were at the library syncing our area books. This man walked past us, stopped, and came back. He was like african or something, he had a very strong accent. Anywho he started telling us we weren't being effective sitting there on our devices. Then he started bible preaching and I could hardly hear him. He was quizing us and I don't even know it was so stange. Then he got up and walked off, but while he was walking out he started to laugh, like an evil villian laugh. It was so odd and a little scary.

2) Also we do service every week at this homeless shelter and they told us this past week we couldn't come anymore if we wear our tags. Like what? Dumb. It was actually their preist lady, who has never been there while we have been serving. She asked if we were representing our church or Jesus like hello, both??  Elder Norconk handled it and I guess we just won't serve there anymore!

3) The weather is starting to get HUMID! No me gusta nada. So please pray that I don't melt away(: We got some rain this weekend though which was nice!

4) Last night we took a new convert and her boyfriend who is investigating to the mission presidents fireside! It was beautiful!! The spirit was so strong and I wish it was longer!

Also I decided to share a scripture each week, todays is D&C 10:33. It is crazy how every morning when I read something applies so directly to me! This one was a really good one!
